Department of English

The Department of English was one of the first departments to be started in the college. The first BA program in English was started in the year 2002. Since then, the Department has grown into a Post Graduate Department. The Department of English conducts a Master's Degree Course in English Language and Literature and a Degree level course in BA English (Vocational) with Journalism.

     The Department has been maintaining an excellent track record for the past 20 years and is thus committed to the overall development of the students. It conducts seminars and workshops. The smooth running of the department is facilitated by faculty members who have distinguished both experienced and dedicated learning and teaching records covering all facets of English. The students participate in various competitions held in the college from time to time. The Media club had been started by the department in association with the Kerala Media Academy, and the Media club engages students who exhibit interest and talent among the students to expand their mental skills through training programs such as video editing, short film projects, photography courses, exhibitions, etc.
